ArtMeta is bringing the Digital Art Mile for the first time to Basel, Switzerland during Art Basel Week 2024 with an art fair, a curated exhibition, conferences and screenings. Most events recommended below are taking place on or after June 12, so we hope you’ll still be in Basel! Enjoy!

The Digital Art Mile
Details: Discover the most sought-after digital artists and galleries in two spaces for the whole week, featuring works by Operator, Justin Aversano, Sasha Stiles, eko33 and many more. Exhibitors include Makersplace, FellowshipAI, The Sigg Art Foundation, ArtxCode, DANAE, and Objkt.

Museum in Web3: From Bits to Brilliance, curated by Diane Drubay
Details: Attend a series of panels about Web3 and museums. The talks and panelists have been curated by Diane Drubay, founder of WeAreMuseums and WAC Lab (Web3 for Arts and Culture). Panel topics include Reinventing Museum Collecting and Patronage in Web3, New Types of Audience Engagement in Museums and From Ownership to Stewardship: The Future of Decentralized Museums.

”Meet the Collectors” Tour by 100 collectors
Details: Pauline Foessel and Eleonora Brizi, the initiators of 100 collectors global chapter, will guide attendees through The Digital Art Mile exhibitions, giving an overview of the displayed art. Attendees will have the chance to meet some of the participating gallerists, curators, and artists.

Human Unreadable movement library Performance & Operator Happy Hour
Details: Within the MakersPlace booth of The Digital Art Mile, Basel-based dancer Laetitia Kohler will improvise live using only the movements from the Human Unreadable movement library. This is your chance to see some of the movements behind the artworks performed with the body–also concurrently a happy hour with Ania and Dejha present to ask questions / respond to challenges.

Drinks Reception with Fellowship
Details: Fellowship are thrilled to invite you to their opening Drinks Reception at space25 as part of the Digital Art Mile by Art Meta. Fellowship presents "Collaborations with the Artificial Self". An exhibition exploring the evolution of AI in art, from the 2010s deep learning revolution to today's cutting-edge text-to-image models, set alongside work from the first AI art making machine.

Operator TBA21 Documentary Screening “Performing the System”
Details: TBA21 explores the practice of artistic duo Operator (Ania Catherine and Dejha Ti), through a feature length documentary co-produced for the online platform TBA21 on st_age. The film recently had its premiere screening at Museo Thyssen in Madrid, Spain. The screening is followed by a conversation between Ania Catherine, Dejha Ti, and curator Eleonora Brizi.

Details: Attend a series of panels about blockchain and art. The talks and panelists have been curated by Brian Droitcour, Editor-in-Chief at Outland, and his team.
