For the March edition of this newsletter, I wanted to acknowledge how hard Q1 2023 had been for all of us.
We often put on a brave face and say, "I'm doing fantastic," "business is booming," "I am so busy," and so on. However, I'd like to pause for a moment and agree to disagree. I want us all to recognize how difficult it can be to work in Web3 and acknowledge the effort and fatigue we all feel at times.
So, here we go:
To those dealing with health issues, I see you
To those suffering from mental illness, I see you
To those running out of funds, I see you
To those who have been let go, I see you
To those not recognized at your true value, I see you
To those suffering from discrimination, I see you
To those feeling the loneliness of remote work, I see you
To those unable to deal with the bullshit, I see you
To those who don't see the point of all this, I see you
To those who have been scammed, I see you
To those done with Twitter hell, I see you
Tho those who don’t know what to do, I see you
To those giving up on Web3, I see you
To those carrying on, I admire you
The entire Web3 ecosystem needs a reset, a rebirth, and a rethinking to move forward and justify all the love, tears, and energy we've invested in building and developing it.
Tribes are important. Find yours and carry on!
But also, reach out. We need new blood: new ideas, new players, new ways to survive and foster a sustainable environment and thrive in the long run.
So, if you're feeling down, it's okay. Take some time, go outside, and have some fun. We've earned it.
With love,
Fanny
Word, dear Fanny! Thank you for writing this. WAGMI but only if we are honest about it all.
Warm, big hugs…
Judy.
