Hello!
I almost started this email by apologizing for the delay in sending you this, but I decided I would not do that and instead acknowledge everything else I had done this week.
This week, I drove back from The Hamptons to Manhattan with my family, then took an overnight flight with my two kids from JFK to Paris and then Paris to Toulouse. Dropped off my two kids with my parents in law (literally shove them into their car at the airport), cried and then slept at a hotel inside Toulouse airport. This morning I did not wake up, missed my early flight to Strasbourg, booked another $500 plane ticket via Lyon, and arrived tonight after a $50 cab ride from the airport to my friend’s house. Tomorrow we are driving for 6 hours from Strasbourg to the Jura mountains, where I’m going to spend a week hiking and yoga-ing under the rain and with a temperature of 53°F (12°C).
But it’s all good, and my birthday is tomorrow.
We are enough, we do what we can, and it’s already a lot!
